Felix Rosenqvist will sport a special livery for his first two races with Meyer Shank Racing, carrying branding from Bon Jovi Radio in the opening part of the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES campaign.
Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) is set to host Grammy Award-winning rock icon Jon Bon Jovi at next weekend’s season-opener on the streets of St. Petersburg (March 10).
In collaboration with MSR’s co-primary sponsor SiriusXM, Bon Jovi’s SiriusXM channel, Bon Jovi Radio, will be simultaneously featured on the sidepod of Rosenqvist’s No. 60 car for both the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and the $1 Million Challenge at Thermal (March 24).
With the dawn of the new INDYCAR campaign around the corner, Rosenqvist completed his final day of sparse pre-season testing on Tuesday, joining the rest of the 27-car field at Sebring International Raceway.
Driving on the final day of the two-day collective test, Rosenqvist wound up fourth fastest overall – less than a tenth off the ultimate pace – to wrap up a positive pre-season period that also saw the Swede top the times in a previous test at Homestead last month.
“I think we have reason to be optimistic,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “We get so little testing in INDYCAR – I’ve been in the car for two days this winter – and it’s really hard to judge, but we have been quick at both Homestead and Sebring for what it’s worth. In the test yesterday we had some small issues early on, but we managed to fix them and then everything ran smoothly.
“I have really been welcomed into the team since I joined and I just can’t wait for the first race next weekend. I feel we’re in a good place.”
The season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg takes place from March 8-10. It will mark the start of Rosenqvist’s sixth NTT INDYCAR SERIES campaign, and his first with Meyer Shank Racing.
