Felix Rosenqvist heads to World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR) this weekend for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 looking to add one final missing piece to his NTT INDYCAR SERIES repertoire.
Courtesy of his Indy 500 victory less than two weeks ago, Rosenqvist is now an INDYCAR race winner on both road courses and superspeedways – as well as a multiple street course pole-sitter and podium finisher.
Having twice finished sixth in the final championship standings, including last year, the Meyer Shank Racing driver has consistently delivered strong all-round performances on the INDYCAR tour – sitting sixth once again in the 2026 classification as the current campaign reaches its halfway mark.
The one type of track where Rosenqvist is yet to excel, however, is short ovals. Still to grace the podium on the series’ bullring-styled venues, St. Louis’ WWTR – commonly referred to as Gateway – is one of those races where the tide is yet to turn.
Rosenqvist, however, is determined to change that this weekend, arriving hot off his breakthrough superspeedway triumph at the Indianapolis 500.
“I’m excited for WWTR this weekend; we’re coming off some good momentum lately,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “I feel personally that I’m still looking for that breakthrough on short ovals. It’s the final box to tick and that’s why a good result in St. Louis would really mean a lot. If I can get these kinds of races to click, we can confidently say that we’re capable of being competitive everywhere. I’ve just had my first superspeedway win, so let’s see if we can keep rolling!”
Rosenqvist’s No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda will sport branding from Grammy Award-winning artist Shaggy and SiriusXM’s Shaggy’s Boombastic Radio (ch. 332) this weekend at WWTR.

The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 marks round nine of 18 on the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule, making it the exact halfway point in the championship.
Practice and qualifying share the bill on a packed Saturday schedule to open the weekend, with the 260-lap race running under floodlights on Sunday evening local time.
