Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg officials have announced the decision to stage this weekend’s NTT IndyCar Series opener behind closed doors, in response to the evolving COVID-19 situation.
The weekend schedule will be amended, with IndyCar sessions now due to take place across two days instead of three. There will be no IndyCar on-track action on Friday, with practice and qualifying instead all slated for Saturday.
Sunday’s race is still scheduled to go ahead at 3.30 pm local time / 20.30 CET. An updated event time table will be available here as soon as the new timings have been established by race organisers.
For further information as the situation evolves, please stay tuned to official INDYCAR communications. Updates will also be provided through Felix Rosenqvist’s own social media accounts.
