Felix Rosenqvist will return to the tradition-steeped Macau Grand Prix for next month’s 2014 edition of the Chinese Formula 3 classic, flying the flag for Kashbet.com on the streets of the former Portuguese colony.
Rosenqvist will contest the event – the most prestigious race on the junior single-seater arena – for the fifth consecutive year, and is set to represent his regular FIA Formula 3 European Championship team Mücke Motorsport. The Swede finished second at Macau in 2012, and was jostling for the lead again in 2013 when he was taken out on the first lap.
Rosenqvist, who has twice won the Masters of F3 standalone event at Zandvoort (the Netherlands) and finished second overall in last year’s FIA Formula 3 European Championship standings, will carry the colours of Kashbet.com throughout the four-day Macau Grand Prix, which has marked the end-of-season highlight for the F3 fraternity since Ayrton Senna won the first edition back in 1983.
“The Macau Grand Prix is my favourite race in the world, and I can’t wait to get back there again this year,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “I love street races, and – following my victory at Pau earlier this year – Macau remains the one F3 event I desperately want to win. To enjoy the support of Kashbet.com in such a prestigious environment is fantastic, and I look forward to an exciting weekend both on and off the track.”
The 2014 Macau Grand Prix takes place on November 13-16. The field covers 28 of the world’s most talented drivers, including all the leading FIA Formula 3 European Championship contestants, GP2 and World Series by Renault frontrunners and the champions of the national British and German F3 series.
