Felix Rosenqvist is looking to bounce back from a difficult race last weekend to round out the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES in style at the season-ending Music City Grand Prix in Nashville – carrying a striking new Metallica livery to boost.
Rosenqvist endured a disappointing race last week in Milwaukee, but is still on course to wrap up a largely positive second campaign with Meyer Shank Racing, looking to improve on 12th place in the standings last year.
Heading into the final round of the season at Nashville Superspeedway, Rosenqvist sits ninth in the overall classification, but is embroiled in a close battle for positions that could well see things swing by the end of play on Sunday. Only a mere six points separate the Swede from sixth place – a position that would tie his personal best INDYCAR championship finish.
As Rosenqvist targets a strong end to the season in Music City, he will have a fitting new look to mark the occasion. In the latest of its music collaborations, Meyer Shank Racing and SiriusXM are turning up the volume with a bold “Maximum Metallica” livery – a celebration of the iconic band’s new year-round SiriusXM channel.

The special design – inspired by Metallica’s legendary 1984 album, “Ride the Lightning” – will debut on Rosenqvist’s #60 MSR Honda during the Nashville season-finale.
“I’m beyond pumped for our Metallica livery this weekend,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “I think it’s one of the best-looking race cars ever – and I’ve said that a lot this year. It’s incredible how the team and SiriusXM come up with these collaborations and the stunning looks to go with them. I’m ready for some redemption this weekend after a tough stretch, looking to end the season on a high!”
Rosenqvist qualified third last year at Nashville Superspeedway, a 1.33-mile D-shaped oval featuring 14 degrees of banking, but retired from the race with tyre damage.
This year’s Music City Grand Prix gets underway with practice and qualifying on Saturday, followed by a season-ending 225-lap race on Sunday.
