Following his accident in Saturday’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES race at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, Felix Rosenqvist was held overnight at DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital for further observation.
Rosenqvist has sustained no life or limb threatening injuries, was awake and alert at all times throughout the accident, and is generally in good spirits.
However, Rosenqvist will not take part in Sunday’s Race 2 of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix meeting, with Oliver Askew drafted in to deputize in the #7 Vuse Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet.
Updates on Felix Rosenqvist’s recovery and his status for the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America, which takes place next week (June 18-20), will be shared in due course.
