NTT INDYCAR SERIES | Rd. 10
PREVIEW Toronto (Canada)
One year ago, Felix Rosenqvist clinched his first podium as an Arrow McLaren driver with a committed performance on the streets of Toronto. As the NTT INDYCAR SERIES returns to the Canadian city this weekend, the Swede is hoping for another special street track moment.
Throughout his career, street circuits have proved a Rosenqvist trademark skill, handing him some of his greatest achievements.
From winning the famous city-centre Formula 3 races in Macau and Pau, to victories in the street-based electric Formula E championship, to dominant performances in Indy Lights – including sweeping the Toronto weekend in 2016 – Rosenqvist has fond memories of this type of track.
The latest addition of success came in the very most recent street event this season, with Rosenqvist again gracing the INDYCAR podium at Detroit just last month.
“I’m looking forward to returning to Toronto, a place that I’ve always enjoyed,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “I had a strong race there last year, finishing third, and I see no reason why we shouldn’t aim for something similar now. I’m all good to go and really excited for this weekend.”
The Toronto track is laid out around Exhibition Place in the heart of the Canadian city, and will stage round ten of the 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. Practice gets underway on Friday, with qualifying on Saturday and the 85-lap race on Sunday.
