Felix Rosenqvist is chasing a strong end to the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES as the championship sprints into its final stretch with a pair of back-to-back oval events to round out the season over the coming two weekends.
Coming into the last two races of the year, Rosenqvist is nearing the end of another largely encouraging campaign with Meyer Shank Racing.
Having joined the outfit ahead of 2024, Rosenqvist gave the team its best-ever championship finish of 12th last year and is on course to improve further on that in 2025, sitting seventh in the current standings.
With at least sixth place still realistically achievable (Penske’s Will Power is a mere five points ahead with over 100 still up for grabs), the final order is yet to be set in stone as two high-speed races remain on the schedule.
First up is this weekend’s Milwaukee Mile 250, staged at the iconic Milwaukee Mile first used for racing in 1903. As the name implies, the track measures one mile (1,6 km) and returned to the INDYCAR calendar as a double-header event last year. This time around, however, it will stage just a single race spanning 250 laps on Sunday.
“We’re nearing the end of the season, and of course we want to do well and bring down the curtain in style,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “It’s been a positive season at large and moving into the last two races inside the top eight of the standings is a great effort by everyone in the team.
“As for Milwaukee, it’s a short oval, and that’s an area I think we still need to improve, and I need to improve. Pace-wise we’ve been strong in qualifying, but we’re yet to firm up a proper result on this type of track in the races, so hopefully we can put that right this weekend.”
After the Milwaukee race, another oval – Nashville Superspeedway – will follow suit to round out the season just a week later.
