Felix was named 2013 Junior Racing Driver of the Year as the annual Swedish motorsport prize giving gala was held in the city of Norrköping on Saturday evening.
Felix received the award after a panel of experts from Swedish motorsport ASN the SBF judged his pace in the 2013 FIA Formula 3 European Championship as the standout performance of the year, handing him a cheque of 15 000 SEK (approx. 1600 euro) in the process.
Later on during the evening, Felix returned to the stage as a recipient in the “international success” category. In typically pragmatic fashion, he described the season as generally strong, although he “went into the campaign to win and finished second, so another guy (Raffaele Marciello) made a slightly better job.”
It has currently not been decided where Felix will race in 2014. Plans will be announced in due course.
