I think the main point for us was that we were still having\u00a0issues with degradation, mainly on the red\u00a0tyres.\u00a0We just dropped massively and we had to go short on the second stint on reds. That\u00a0set us up badly for the rest of the race. I don\u2019t know why it\u2019s happening but it\u2019s something we are looking into.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/b106543.web05.cust.bluerange.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/16C_0832-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7687 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/b106543.web05.cust.bluerange.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/16C_0832-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/16C_0832-1.jpg 4171w, https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/16C_0832-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/16C_0832-1-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/16C_0832-1-1024x682-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/16C_0832-1-1024x682-561x373.jpg 561w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>Rosenqvist, who became the first Swedish driver since Kenny Br\u00e4ck in 2002 to clinch an IndyCar pole position in qualifying on Friday, had initially appeared a real\u00a0podium contender as he led team-mate Scott Dixon (NZL)\u00a0in the opening stages of the race.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He clung on to finish as the best rookie, but was understandably left wishing for more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>&#8220;I feel like we should have had a much better result today,&#8221; <strong>Rosenqvist declares<\/strong>. &#8220;I did everything I could, but it didn\u2019t work out. We came out toward the back on the wet tyres for the final stint\u00a0and I think we managed to get four or five guys in the end and wound\u00a0up P8. It was a good salvage of points and we did recover a lot. At the end of the day we can be happy with that, but overall I\u2019m very disappointed and I feel like we gave away something, which was likely a podium today for the NTT DATA car.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Simon Pagenaud (FRA) imitated Rosenqvist&#8217;s journey but in reverse,\u00a0coming through from eighth on the grid to win for a third time at the Indianapolis road course.
