Felix is poised for a busy week as IndyCar prepares to stage two separate tests within the coming seven days.\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n

Kicking off the most intense part of the pre-season period is a one-day run at Laguna Seca<\/strong> this Friday (February 8). The test marks IndyCar’s first visit to the beloved Californian venue – famed for its distinctive “Corkscrew” – in 14 years, and\u00a0precedes the track’s official return to the racing calendar as it stages the season finale in September.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Laguna Seca is one of those tracks I’ve never visited but always wanted to drive,” says Felix<\/strong>. “I have no idea how many laps I’ve done around there in front of the PC – I often chose Laguna Seca in many of the games I played growing up. It will be great to finally try it out for real.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Just a few days later, Felix and Chip Ganassi Racing will be back on track in Texas, as Circuit of the Americas<\/strong> (COTA) organises the sole official<\/em> pre-season test on February 12-13. As such, the COTA outings will mark the first and only time that all IndyCar teams and drivers gather for a collective run before the season begins in St. Petersburg on March 10.<\/span><\/p>\n

COTA has hosted the US Formula 1 Grand Prix since 2012, and is due to make its maiden appearance on the IndyCar calendar this year. It will stage the second round of the season on March 24.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“COTA will be another new track for me,” Felix explains<\/strong>. “I’ve watched a lot of races from there, though, and it seems pretty technical. We have an important two days of running there next week, so it will be pretty busy.”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

IndyCar will stream the COTA test LIVE<\/strong> on its Facebook, YouTube and Periscope channels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reports will be made available here at www.felixracing.se at the end of each day of testing.<\/span><\/p>\n
