\"Felix<\/a>Felix brought the\u00a0opening FIA Formula 3 European Championship pre-season test\u00a0of the year\u00a0to a close by setting the fastest lap of the weekend at the Hungaroring on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The second and final day of running at the Budapest venue saw M\u00fccke Motorsport continue the work commenced yesterday, with further back-to-back set-up comparisons and engine evaluation.<\/p>\n

Felix completed a comprehensive programme, covering a full 94 laps over the course of the day, and\u00a0wound up setting the pace on a 1m36.080s effort – the fastest\u00a0time recorded over the two days\u00a0–\u00a0on a late morning run.\u00a0Joining\u00a0him in the top five were three Carlin cars (Antonio Giovinazzi, Jake Dennis and Tom Blomqvist) and Van Amersfoort Racing’s Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n

FIA Formula 3 European Championship testing continues at the Red Bull Ring – scene of Felix’s historic triple win of last season – next week.<\/p>\n

\u00a0FELIX’S VIEW:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“It’s been a good test for us, and we’ve completed a lot of valuable running. Most importantly, we believe we have identified the areas we need to work on going forwards, and we\u00a0will continue to make as much progress as possible\u00a0in Austria next week. There are some tyre heat-up issues to look into, amongst other things.<\/p>\n

“As for our pace,\u00a0it’s always encouraging to\u00a0top the timesheets,\u00a0although\u00a0it’s not something we’re\u00a0really focussing on at this stage. My target this year is to win the title and we seem to have the\u00a0potential to challenge for that, but there is still a lot of work to do and\u00a0there is no room for complacency in this championship.
