\"FP\"<\/a>Felix got his first taste of the 3.9 km\u00a0Moscow Raceway\u00a0as Friday free practice\u00a0got proceedings underway\u00a0for the FIA Formula 3 European Championship’s maiden foray into Russia.<\/p>\n

Racking up a total of 40 laps, Felix\u00a0completed a trouble-free programme of\u00a0running behind the wheel of his M\u00fccke Motorsport-Dallara in cold and windy conditions, gradually upping the pace to eventually end up seventh on the timesheets – less than half a second shy of early pace-setter Tom Blomqvist (Carlin).<\/p>\n

The top ten were covered by less than six tenths of a second, setting the stage\u00a0for a thrilling qualifying session later\u00a0this afternoon.<\/p>\n

\"heli\"<\/a>The start of practice was delayed for 15 minutes as the emergency helicopter\u00a0– required\u00a0to air-lift drivers to hospital\u00a0in case of an accident –\u00a0was yet to arrive at\u00a0the circuit as running was\u00a0meant to commence. Action was later red-flagged twice following offs from Tatiana Calder\u00f3n (Jo Zeller Racing)\u00a0and Hector Hurst (Team West-Tec)\u00a0over the blind\u00a0crest\u00a0at the\u00a0ultra-quick Turn 7.<\/p>\n

Qualifying for the first race of the weekend is scheduled to start at 16.50 local time, although the event programme is currently running to a 30-minute delay.<\/p>\n

FELIX:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I like the circuit. It’s quite technical, particularly in Sector 2, with some sweeping bends that require you to think a little bit outside the box. Practice went OK for us and we seem to be\u00a0close to the pace. There are\u00a0a couple of things we need to work on before qualifying, as\u00a0always,\u00a0but I’m relatively happy and\u00a0looking forward to this afternoon.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
