Felix Rosenqvist is turning the page on a sub-standard Milwaukee Mile 250 after enduring a weekend to forget in the penultimate round of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.<\/strong>

Rosenqvist faced\u00a0a raft of setbacks in round 16 of the 17-race campaign, initially marred by a high-speed crash\u00a0in Saturday\u2019s qualifying session.

Heading to\u00a0the famed\u00a0Milwaukee\u00a0Mile\u00a0with the best oval qualifying average\u00a0(4.5)\u00a0of the entire field\u00a0so far this year,\u00a0Rosenqvist\u00a0was looking to uphold the trend, but instead found himself backing hard into the wall at Turn 3 on the first of his two scheduled flying laps.

The impact caused damage to the rear structure of the #60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda, leaving\u00a0Rosenqvist without a\u00a0qualifying\u00a0time and down\u00a0in 25th on the grid for\u00a0Sunday\u2019s 250-lap race.\u00a0
\u00a0
\u201dI just pushed too hard,\u201d\u00a0said Rosenqvist about the crash<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201dYou give it your all and at some point, it\u2019s a little bit of chance when you send it in, especially on the first lap. I got a little snap mid-corner and couldn\u2019t catch it in time, and that was it. I\u2019m sorry for the guys,\u00a0and it obviously left us in a difficult position for the race.\u201d<\/em>

Once racing got underway,\u00a0things hardly proved any better, as the Swede struggled for pace throughout and finished a lapped 22nd.\u00a0

\u201cIt was a pretty terrible race,\u201d\u00a0Rosenqvist admits<\/strong>. \u201cI didn\u2019t have anything today; I was lacking grip front and rear. The stand did a good job of putting us back in the mix at one point, but then we just dropped like a rock. That was\u2026 just had nothing. We need to have a thorough look at what actually happened.\u00a0

\u201cThankfully the next race is just a few days away and we can only do better there.\u201d<\/em>

The final round of the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES takes place at Nashville Superspeedway in one week’s time (August 30-31). Felix Rosenqvist will enter the season-finale sitting ninth in the championship standings, albeit just six points from sixth place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
