{"id":1843,"date":"2014-06-22T11:35:00","date_gmt":"2014-06-22T09:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/b106543.web05.cust.bluerange.se\/?p=1843"},"modified":"2014-06-22T11:55:59","modified_gmt":"2014-06-22T09:55:59","slug":"felix-salvages-points-despite-suspension-damage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/felixracing.se\/en\/felix-salvages-points-despite-suspension-damage\/","title":{"rendered":"Felix salvages points despite suspension damage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/b106543.web05.cust.bluerange.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/slider-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1841\" alt=\"slider-2\" src=\"https:\/\/b106543.web05.cust.bluerange.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/slider-2-300x169.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/slider-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/slider-2-1024x578.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/slider-2-1024x578-561x316.jpg 561w, https:\/\/felixracing.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/slider-2.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The final FIA F3 European Championship race of the weekend at Spa turned into a troublesome one for Felix, who did however manage to salvage two points from a ninth-place finish despite suffering from a broken suspension.<\/p>\n<p>In what was another exciting race in the Ardennes countryside, Felix set off from\u00a0tenth\u00a0on the grid and soon became engulfed in a series of battles as he fought to make up ground.<\/p>\n<p>He was running particularly close with Felipe Guimaraes, who forced Felix wide on three occasions on the same lap, eventually culminating in the duo making contact at Bus Stop as Felix\u00a0was pushed off the track as he attempted an around-the-outside move.<\/p>\n<p>The clash dealt damage to\u00a0the\u00a0right-hand side of Felix&#8217;s\u00a0M\u00fccke\u00a0Motorsport car,\u00a0with a partially broken suspension hindering his efforts over the remainder of the race.<\/p>\n<p>A few laps later,\u00a0Guimaraes and Felix again made contact\u00a0under braking for La Source, the Brazilian F3 champion spinning and dropping out of the points.<\/p>\n<p>Felix then had to fend off attacks from behind as he struggled for grip\u00a0&#8211; and straightline speed &#8211;\u00a0in his damaged Dallara, eventually coming home ninth to at least salvage a couple of championship\u00a0points.<\/p>\n<p>The next round of the FIA F3 European Championship takes place on the streets of Nuremberg next weekend,\u00a0with the tradition-steeped Norisring marking the halfway stage of the season.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>FELIX:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That was a\u00a0busy race, and not the greatest I&#8217;ve ever driven. I was fighting with Guimaraes in the opening stages and after we made contact,\u00a0it just wasn&#8217;t possible to make up much further ground as the car was already damaged.\u00a0It&#8217;s\u00a0simply not been our weekend, but it&#8217;ll be\u00a0good to be back on track in a few days\u00a0and try to do a better job in
