Felix Rosenqvist moves into Indianapolis 500 mode this week with a fresh new look as all eyes turn to the biggest sporting spectacle on earth.<\/strong>

Widely regarded as the world\u2019s greatest race, the Indy 500 ranks among the largest sporting events on the globe, attracting crowds of more than 300 000 visitors on race day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 500-mile oval classic is played out across 200 laps around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with 33 drivers set to go all-out for victory in the 109th running of the event on Sunday, May 25. 

The build-up to the race begins this week with a series of practice sessions starting on Tuesday, leading into qualifying weekend which will see average speeds climb to well over 230 mph around the daunting 2.5-mile oval.

For the 2025 edition of the famed race, Rosenqvist will sport a special black and orange livery on his #60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda, carrying branding from American Grammy award-winning rock band CREED.

Moving into \u201cThe Greatest Spectacle in Racing\u201d, Rosenqvist enters the undisputed season highlight sitting eighth in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES standings after a slate of promising performances \u2013 including four top ten finishes \u2013 in the opening part of 2025. 
 
The Swede has also showcased serious pace at the Indy 500, qualifying on the front row in 2023 and finishing a career-best fourth in 2022. The Meyer Shank Racing driver also qualified as the top Honda-powered car at the 500 last year, but ultimately retired with a mechanical failure while running in the leading group. 
 
Now, Rosenqvist hopes to finally string all of that inherent potential together when it matters most.
 
\u201cI feel like I\u2019m becoming a very rounded \u2018500\u2019 driver by now,\u201d Felix Rosenqvist continues<\/strong>. \u201cI\u2019ve been up there leading the race in numerous editions, fighting for the win, qualifying well and gaining that experience that can ultimately make the difference. It\u2019s always hard to predict how well we\u2019ll go, however, and especially this year as it\u2019s the first Indy 500 since the introduction of the hybrid systems.
 
\u201cWe need to wait and see come qualifying and the race itself, but the general feeling is good after the Open Test here a few weeks ago. I feel ready. Hopefully we can be up there fighting for it and enjoy these two weeks along with the whole racing community.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosenqvist forms part of a three-car line-up for Meyer Shank Racing at the Indy 500 this year, also featuring Marcus Armstrong and four-time winner Helio Castroneves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practice for the Indy 500 begins on Tuesday and continues throughout the week, leading into Fast Friday (which features a turbo boost increase) and qualifying weekend on May 17-18. The race itself takes place on Sunday, May 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
