Felix Rosenqvist heads into a highly intense part of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season looking to extend an early run of on-track success, but already has reason to celebrate as he prepares for his landmark 100th race in America\u2019s premier single-seater championship this weekend.<\/strong>
 
Joining the INDYCAR fray back in 2019 and scoring his sole series win in 2020, Rosenqvist is entering triple-digit territory on Sunday when racing resumes at the Children\u2019s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix.
 
Taking place at the picturesque Barber Motorsports Park, the centenary race comes at a time of high impetus for Rosenqvist and his Meyer Shank Racing team, following a strong start to the season that sees the 33-year-old Swede currently sit fourth in the championship standings.
 
\u201cOne hundred INDYCAR races – that actually feels like quite a milestone to be honest,\u201d says Felix Rosenqvist<\/strong>. \u201cLooking back to my beginnings in karting or my early Formula Renault days in China, something like INDYCAR was so far away. It really is incredible to think that it has actually worked out as a career for me \u2013 it was far from certain at times.
 
\u201cIt may be just a number, but it\u2019s also about the journey that got me here and all the years of hard work that\u2019s gone into it. I\u2019m very thankful to have made it to this point and, more than anything, I hope the kids of today can take some inspiration from it as well.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside the landmark 100, there is also another number to keep in mind \u2013 and try to improve on \u2013 this weekend: 4.

Rosenqvist sits fourth in the INDYCAR standings, finished fourth last time out at Long Beach, and arrives at Barber Motorsports Park ready for the fourth round of the 2025 campaign. The Swede returns to the Alabama road course a year on from a career-best finish at the venue of \u2013 you guessed it \u2013 P4.\u00a0\u00a0

\u201cIt would be fun to break onto that podium soon, it certainly feels long overdue,\u201d\u00a0Rosenqvist concludes<\/strong>. \u201cWe fell five laps short of it in Long Beach, but big picture, we\u2019re on the pace most of the time and as long as we keep performing, it will eventually come. We were fast at Barber last year too, top five in both qualifying and the race. This is the start of a long stretch of races, including the Indy 500, and I feel prepared for it \u2013 let\u2019s bring it on!\u201d<\/em>

The Children\u2019s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix heralds the start of the busy Month of May \u2013 INDYCAR\u2019s high-stakes stretch of action that culminates with the 109th Indianapolis 500 on May 25. It also takes in the Sonsio Grand Prix at IMS road course on May 9-10, as well as practice and qualifying weeks for the \u2019500.

Even beyond May, INDYCAR is now primed for action over the next third-of-a-year, with a full 14 races set to take place over the coming 17 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
