Felix Rosenqvist returns to the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this weekend for round three of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, looking to repeat the kind of performance that saw him claim pole position at the Californian street track last year.<\/strong>

In what marked Meyer Shank Racing\u2019s first-ever INDYCAR pole, Rosenqvist produced an on-the-edge lap in qualifying 12 months ago to place himself at the top of the timing screens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although he eventually slipped to ninth with brake issues in the race, the Swede has always enjoyed the Long Beach circuit and is hoping to make amends in 2025 \u2013 arriving fifth in the overall standings after two encouraging races at St. Petersburg and The Thermal Club.

\u201cGetting pole at Long Beach last year was pretty exciting for myself and the whole team, and it’s definitely something that we are aiming to do again this weekend,\u201d\u00a0says Felix Rosenqvist<\/strong>. \u201dWe seem to have a strong street course package, so hopefully we can roll off of the trucks with some good momentum.

“I feel like we have a little bit of\u00a0unfinished business at Long Beach after last year’s race, but it\u2019s a track that suits me well and I\u2019m hungry for a good finish there.\u201d<\/em>

This year marks the 50th anniversary of racing in Long Beach, with the weekend set to kick off with an opening practice session on Friday. Qualifying takes centre stage on Saturday, setting the grid for Sunday\u2019s race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race distance has been extended from 85 to 90 laps this year, potentially opening up new strategic windows and bringing another unknown into the equation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
