Felix was forced to sit out the first day of INDYCAR\u2019s sole collective pre-season test at Sebring but returned to record the ninth fastest time overall as running concluded on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After missing Monday\u2019s activities due to illness, Felix joined the action only on Tuesday morning, taking to the wheel of his #60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda for the first time in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the 27-car field split into two groups during the test \u2013 one group running in the morning and one in the afternoon \u2013 Felix had his work cut out to try and recover lost ground with only half a day of seat time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He eventually managed to rack up 58 laps around Sebring\u2019s short layout \u2013 tied least of all drivers – with his personal best of 52.527s still enough to leave him ninth on the aggregate results across both days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outright pace was set by Will Power on a 52.254s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dIt\u2019s been a good test, or a good day rather,” says Felix<\/strong>. “I was feeling pretty low yesterday and just wasn\u2019t able to drive; I think it\u2019s the first time ever I\u2019m sitting out a session due to illness. It\u2019s obviously not ideal given the limited testing we have, but today I\u2019m feeling a lot better, and as soon as I got back in the car, it all felt very natural.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs it turns out, this is my first and only day in the car between last year\u2019s finale and St. Pete, so it was important to maximize it – and I think we did. It was all about working with my crew again, my new engineer, trying out some new things on the car. We were up there all morning, despite not taking any new tyres in the cooler conditions early on, so I think it was a positive day.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
