Felix Rosenqvist will complete a hectic sequence of four NTT INDYCAR SERIES races in three weeks as America\u2019s premier single-seater championship prepares for twice the fun this weekend in a double-header event at the legendary Milwaukee Mile. <\/strong>
 
Located in West Allis, Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Mile is the oldest operating automobile racing venue in the world, opened back in 1903 as a dirt track before being paved in 1954. The famed oval features 9-degree banking in the corners, relatively flat by American standards.
 
Felix Rosenqvist has never previously raced at the one-mile (1.6 km) track \u2013 which returns to the INDYCAR schedule for the first time since 2015 \u2013 but will have twice the action to look forward to as he makes his Milwaukee debut.
 
Coming up this weekend, namely, are two races on consecutive days, marking INDYCAR\u2019s second and final double-header round of the season (after Iowa Speedway). It is also the penultimate event on the 2024 schedule, which concludes on September 15 at Nashville Superspeedway.
 
\u201cIt will be cool to finally race at the Milwaukee Mile, which is a track I\u2019ve heard a lot about over here in the U.S.,\u201d says Felix Rosenqvist<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s obviously a really historic place. I\u2019ve just done one day of testing there, and it\u2019s a unique layout which I think will race very differently. The banking is a lot lower than the other short ovals we go to, and there could be plenty of track evolution as well with it being a double-header.\u201d<\/em>
 
Rosenqvist finished sixth in the latest oval race at World Wide Technology Raceway just two weeks ago, overcoming a nine-place grid penalty for an unapproved engine change having originally qualified on the front row. 
 
The Meyer Shank Racing Swede also qualified in the top five at Iowa Speedway earlier in the year and as the top Honda driver for the Indianapolis 500 back in May.
 
\u201cI think the ovals have been strong for us this year, and having two races this weekend means plenty of points up for grabs,\u201d Felix Rosenqvist concludes<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s a crucial weekend as we try to finish in the top ten in the championship.\u201d <\/em>
 
Rosenqvist currently sits 11th in the INDYCAR charts, a mere nine points behind tenth-placed Santino Ferrucci. In a fiercely congested part of the standings, however, just 17 points separate five drivers battling around the top ten mark.
 
INDYCAR\u2019s Milwaukee Mile comeback begins with practice on Friday. Qualifying and Race 1 is on Saturday, with Race 2 concluding the weekend on Sunday. Both races are run across 250 laps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
