The NTT INDYCAR SERIES is staging its final road course event of the 2024 campaign this weekend as the Grand Prix of Portland comes into play \u2013 and Felix Rosenqvist goes west looking to uphold a strong record in the Oregon race.<\/strong>

The site of Rosenqvist\u2019s second career INDYCAR podium in 2019, Portland International Raceway has remained happy hunting grounds ever since, the Swede holding a 100 % top ten finishing record across four starts at the venue and picking up another podium at the two-mile track last year.\u00a0

Coming off the back of another strong effort last weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway, where he finished sixth despite a refuelling issue on the final pit stop, Rosenqvist is keen to turn both right and left for the final time this season, with just three oval races remaining after this weekend\u2019s event.\u00a0

\u00a0\u201cPortland is a track that I really like,\u201d\u00a0says Felix Rosenqvist<\/strong>. \u201cI\u2019ve had two second place finishes there, so hopefully I can beat that this weekend. I think it could be a good place to exploit the potential that we\u2019ve had all year. I feel like we\u2019re back in our groove again after some bumps in the road. I\u2019m super excited for the last road course of the year and heading out west again.\u201d<\/em>

Rosenqvist has enjoyed a largely encouraging first season with the Meyer Shank Racing organization in 2024, and improved to a tied tenth in the overall INDYCAR standings last weekend. With four races to go this season, the 32-year-old is currently on course to score the team\u2019s best-ever championship finish.

The Grand Prix of Portland begins with opening practice on Friday. Qualifying takes place on Saturday, with the 110-lap race scheduled to start at 12:30 pm local time (U.S. Pacific) on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
