I\u00a0struggled at the start &#8211; as we often seem to be doing in FA1 &#8211; but I recovered some of the lost ground at the first chicane and was running second to Nigel\u00a0in the opening stages. We were forced to change brake pads\u00a0shortly before the race &#8211; the ones we used yesterday were\u00a0worn out &#8211; and that had a big effect on the brake balance, which meant I\u00a0suffered from a lot of rear locking.\u00a0A few laps\u00a0in,\u00a0I locked up\u00a0massively into the first chicane and spun, and I think I rejoined more or less last.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From there, I knew I had to\u00a0be perfect over the second half of the race. We were pretty far back, but the pace\u00a0has\u00a0obviously been\u00a0very\u00a0good throughout the weekend and giving up was never an option. By the time\u00a0of the second pit stop, I\u00a0had made up a lot of ground and managed to pass Nigel for the lead.
