Two years ago, Felix Rosenqvist became a breakthrough NTT INDYCAR SERIES race winner. This weekend sees the Swede return to the site where it happened \u2013 Wisconsin\u2019s Road America \u2013 looking for another strong result.<\/strong>

By winning at the Elkhart Lake track in July 2020, shortly after motorsport resumed in the wake of the early COVID-19 shutdowns, Rosenqvist became the first Swedish driver in 18 years to hit Victory Lane in U.S. top-tier racing.

A violent crash in Detroit then forced Rosenqvist to sit out last year\u2019s Road America event, making this weekend\u2019s appearance his first at the track since that 2020 victory.

\u201cRoad America is a place of fond memories for me, so I\u2019m really looking forward to getting back there this weekend,\u201d\u00a0says Felix Rosenqvist<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s a classic, beautiful track with good overtaking opportunities and an interesting mix of corners. It can bite you hard if you don\u2019t take proper care of the tyres, but it always produces entertaining races.\u201d<\/em>

Rosenqvist took fourth in the Indy 500 two weeks ago \u2013 his best finish with Arrow McLaren SP \u2013 and followed it up with another strong drive in last Sunday\u2019s Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix where he battled back from a qualifying penalty to finish in the top ten and set the second-fastest lap.

\u201cWe\u2019re on a bit of a roll now, with a couple of really strong races in the last month,\u201d\u00a0Felix\u00a0Rosenqvist concludes<\/strong>. \u201cThe aim is to continue to build on that, find some consistent top ten or top five finishes, and see where that positions us in the championship a bit later in the year.\u201d<\/em>

The Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America gets underway on Sunday, with practice for the event commencing on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
