The dust has barely settled at Indianapolis Motor Speedway before the NTT INDYCAR SERIES returns to action this weekend at the diametrically different Belle Isle street course in Detroit for the next phase of the season.\u00a0<\/strong>

Felix Rosenqvist enters the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on a high following his two most competitive showings to date with Arrow McLaren SP, taking sixth in the GMR Grand Prix and a personal-best fourth in the Indy 500 last Sunday \u2013 with the Swede fighting for victory in both events.

The Month of May performances have reinvigorated Rosenqvist and the #7 Arrow McLaren SP crew, who will be looking to make further inroads in the championship standings \u2013 where Rosenqvist currently sits ninth \u2013 on home soil for engine partner Chevrolet this weekend.

\u201cWe\u2019re certainly on a good path at the moment,\u201d\u00a0says Felix Rosenqvist<\/strong>. \u201cThe Indy 500 was perfectly executed by all of us, I\u2019d say, and we really maximized our package. It was a big boost for the entire team and everyone on the #7 car. We really look forward to building on that this weekend on the streets of Detroit, an important event for us and our partner Chevrolet.\u201d<\/em>

Rosenqvist was at the centre of serious drama in Detroit last year, suffering the biggest crash of his life<\/a> that forced him out of the following two races.\u00a0

In testament to the never-ending work on safety, however, Rosenqvist miraculously escaped severe injury and returned at full pace later in the season.\u00a0

\u201cWe all know what happened in Detroit last year, but it\u2019s really not something I think about at all,\u201d\u00a0Felix Rosenqvist explains<\/strong>. \u201cThe only thing that bothers me when looking back to Detroit last year is the fact we were really strong in that particular race. It was definitely a case of missing out on a very strong finish.

“We have some unfinished business and I\u2019m excited to get back there this weekend with the momentum we\u2019re starting to build.\u201d<\/em>

Practice for the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix begins on Friday. While previous editions of the Michigan event have typically featured a double-race weekend, this year\u2019s meeting is a single-round happening, with the sole race taking place on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
