Having been forced to retire from pole position last time out, Felix Rosenqvist returns to NTT INDYCAR SERIES action this weekend determined to make amends as the U.S. single-seater elite hits the famous streets of Long Beach for round three of the season. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosenqvist suffered a grim fate at Texas Motor Speedway three weeks ago, as a technical issue put him out of a race<\/a> which he had started from pole – the first for a Swedish driver at an oval track in 20 years<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As INDYCAR gears up for a visit to the fashionable seaside city of Long Beach, just outside Los Angeles on the California coastline, Rosenqvist is duly looking for retaliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arrow McLaren SP driver has demonstrated strong pace around the challenging street course in previous visits, most recently qualifying in the top five when the track hosted the 2021 season-finale back in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI’m looking forward to returning to Long Beach,\u201d says Felix Rosenqvist<\/strong>. \u201cIt’s been a track where I’ve had strong pace in the past, but where circumstances have tarnished the end result. Heading there on the back of our highly promising performance in Texas, albeit on an oval, I’m really keen to try and carry that momentum into a street track. We have every opportunity to perform, so let’s do it!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practice for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach begins on Friday, with a second one-hour session following suit on Saturday morning to prepare the cars for the all-important qualifying showdown in the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race spans 85 laps and takes place on Sunday, starting at 12:45 pm local time (U.S. Pacific).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
