{"id":11195,"date":"2021-06-14T11:21:40","date_gmt":"2021-06-14T09:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.felixracing.se\/?p=11195"},"modified":"2021-06-14T11:22:26","modified_gmt":"2021-06-14T09:22:26","slug":"statement-from-felix-rosenqvist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/felixracing.se\/en\/statement-from-felix-rosenqvist\/","title":{"rendered":"Statement from Felix Rosenqvist"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ss-inline-share-wrapper\"><div class=\"ss-inline-share-content\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Felix Rosenqvist&nbsp;has been cleared and released by DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital&nbsp;following his heavy&nbsp;accident in Race 1 of the&nbsp;Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on Saturday.<\/strong><br><br>Following Sunday&#8217;s Race 2 of INDYCAR&#8217;s double-header meeting, and with Arrow McLaren SP team-mate Pato O&#8217;Ward reaching Victory Lane, Rosenqvist shares the following statement:&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWhat an incredible drive by Pato today. He was amazing on the restart and it was really special watching him work his way through the field. I obviously don\u2019t want to be watching races on TV, but it\u2019s pretty special when your team-mate wins and dedicates the race to you.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Yesterday was by far the most violent crash I\u2019ve had, and I\u2019m just so thankful I didn\u2019t have any serious injuries. I\u2019m fine but very sore, so driving today would not have been realistic. We had a great race to that point yesterday, which makes it even worse to take, but Oliver<\/em>&nbsp;(Askew, replacement driver)<em>&nbsp;did a great job today in the car. My focus is on getting rested up and fully recovered.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Last, but definitely not least, I want to extend my gratitude for all the care and consideration I have received after the accident. To the AMR INDYCAR Safety Team, to everyone at DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, to my team-mates at Arrow McLaren SP, and to all my fans \u2013 thank you.\u201d<\/em><br><br>&nbsp;<br>Further updates on Felix Rosenqvist\u2019s recovery and his status for the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America, which takes place this coming&nbsp;weekend (June 18-20), will be shared in due
