He\u00a0managed to keep\u00a0seventh-placed Mitch Gilbert at bay, however,\u00a0and was eventually promoted to fifth at the very final corner after Esteban Ocon\u00a0appeared to\u00a0drop back with technical problems.<\/p>\n<p>The race was won by Felix&#8217;s M\u00fccke Motorsport team-mate Lucas Auer, who consolidated an early advantage from pole position to\u00a0claim his first win of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Next up this\u00a0weekend is Qualifying 2, which takes place later this afternoon and sets up the\u00a0grid for\u00a0Sunday&#8217;s\u00a0second and third races.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>FELIX:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Finishing fifth from eighth on the grid is an OK result, but this was not a good race. For some reason, I suffered from massive understeer and locking under braking, and\u00a0it was very difficult to drive the car today. I had full\u00a0steering lock and could hardly get around some of the\u00a0corners, and we now\u00a0need to analyse why.\u00a0Lucas is running a different set-up to me this weekend, and\u00a0he is certainly on the pace and doing a good job, so we need to see if there is something we can learn from that side of the garage going into qualifying. The potential is there; it&#8217;s just a case of unlocking
