Felix Rosenqvist returns to action this weekend at the Music City Grand Prix in Nashville, staging round 12 of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
The up-coming race takes place at Nashville Superspeedway, with Rosenqvist arriving at the 1.3-mile Tennessee oval as the reigning Indy 500 champion following his win in The Greatest Spectacle in Racing earlier this year.
The Swede holds a solid record in Nashville over the past two years, qualifying third in 2024 and finishing seventh in 2025 after battling back strongly from a jump start penalty.
”I’ve been knocking on the door at this track the last couple of years, so I’m excited to come back to Nashville and see what we can do this time around,” says Felix Rosenqvist. ”It was the final round of the season last year and we had a strong race there, coming through from the back after picking up that early penalty.”
Rosenqvist currently sits seventh in the standings going into this weekend’s event, which sees a considerable race length extension over last year – up from 225 laps to 300.
”It’s a much longer race this year, so it’ll be interesting to see how that pans out,” concludes Felix Rosenqvist. ”We definitely want to put on a good show for the fans tuning in after the World Cup final. It’s going to be a big sporting Sunday.”
Rosenqvist’s No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda this weekend will feature The Highway (Ch. 56), a SiriusXM station highlighting the next generation of country music superstars, like popular artist and race fan Riley Green.
The Music City Grand Prix is a two-day event getting underway on Saturday with practice and qualifying. The extended 300-lap race takes centre stage on Sunday afternoon local time.
