Indianapolis 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist will return to his former team Arrow McLaren as he rejoins the British-American outfit for the 2027 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season and beyond on a multi-year agreement.
Announced on Monday as part of a star-studded line-up, Rosenqvist will team up with Pato O’Ward and Scott Dixon on Arrow McLaren’s full-season driver roster starting next year. The trio is set to be joined by Ryan Hunter-Reay in a fourth car for the Indianapolis 500, which Rosenqvist will bid to win for a second time next May.
The agreement sees Rosenqvist return to the team for which he previously drove between 2021-2023.
“I’m excited to return to Arrow McLaren next season and reunite with Pato, of course, and also Tony (Kanaan), Zak (Brown) and the crew and engineers I worked with previously,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “There are a lot of familiar faces, and we’ve got an incredible line-up with Scott joining and Ryan returning for the 500. I think our collective experience will be a huge benefit.
“I’ve still got work to do to finish this season strong, but I’m looking forward to what’s to come at Arrow McLaren.”
2027 will mark a hugely significant year for McLaren, as the famous team continues to pursuit Formula 1 World Championship glory while reinforcing its INDYCAR programme and joining the top tier of sports car racing, the FIA World Endurance Championship.
It means the marque will be represented in all of motorsport’s Triple Crown events: the Monaco Grand Prix, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Indianapolis 500.

These four drivers bring a wealth of experience as well as great chemistry and will no doubt have a positive impact across our entire team.”
Felix Rosenqvist, 34, has two career NTT INDYCAR SERIES victories, ten podiums and seven pole positions on his CV, and was named INDYCAR Rookie of the Year in 2019.
The Swede scored a defining win in the 110th Indianapolis 500 back in May this year, coming through on a spectacular final lap to take victory in the closest finish in the century-plus history of the event.
“When you have the opportunity to bring drivers of this calibre into your team, you take it seriously,” says Tony Kanaan, Arrow McLaren Team Principal. “Scott’s accomplishments speak for themselves, Felix is this year’s 500 winner and consistently fast and competitive, and Ryan has the experience and the capability to win the 500 again, without a doubt.
“Add that talent to what we have with Pato who’s knocking on the door of his own 500 win, and we’re the threat we’ve been building up to be in the championship and the 500.”
