Just a matter of days after gracing the podium in Portland, Felix Rosenqvist readies himself for a brand new challenge this weekend as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES sets camp in Markham, Canada, for the first time.
Introducing an all-new street course in the eastern precinct of the Toronto suburb, the inaugural Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham features a 12-turn, 3.5 km (2.19 miles) layout sporting a double-sided pitlane and an interesting mix of corners.
The track replaces the old nearby street course at Toronto’s Exhibition Place, where INDYCAR had been racing since 1986, and is set to challenge teams and drivers alike in Round 14 of the 2026 season.
“Exciting with a brand new track, which looks like a very fun layout,” says Felix Rosenqvist, arriving fresh off his third podium of the season in last weekend’s Grand Prix of Portland. “It’s always important to have a clean first practice at a new event like this to learn as much as possible, both in terms of driving and car set-up.”
Marking the occasion of the championship’s only non-USA round, Meyer Shank Racing and SiriusXM are celebrating Canadian music and culture with special liveries on both of its cars this weekend.
Rosenqvist’s No. 60 Honda will showcase Canadian rock powerhouse Three Days Grace alongside SiriusXM Octane (Ch. 37). The striking red, black and white design draws inspiration from the band’s unmistakable energy while incorporating the colours of Canada.
Currently on their worldwide Alienation Tour in support of their eighth studio album, Alienation, Three Days Grace remains one of Canada’s most celebrated rock bands and will also be on site this weekend as special guests of the team.
”I love our livery for this weekend,” says Felix Rosenqvist. ”For someone who grew up listening to Three Days Grace, it’s super cool to fly their Canadian colours at the inaugural Markham race.”
Track action on the new circuit will commence on Friday with the first practice session of the weekend. The pace will heat up on the Markham streets on Saturday in time for qualifying, locking in the grid for Sunday’s 90-lap race.
