Felix Rosenqvist returns to one of his favourite circuits for an emotional weekend to close out the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES in the Grand Prix of Monterey at Laguna Seca.
Marking his final race for Meyer Shank Racing, Rosenqvist is closing a three-year chapter that has seen the constellation challenge the very best in the business, clinching a top six championship finish in 2025 and scoring an historic Indy 500 victory earlier this year.
With Rosenqvist set to join Arrow McLaren from next season, the up-coming 18th and final round of the 2026 campaign will mark an emotional moment as the Swede bids to bow out in style with his current team.
The event will also see his baby daughter Stella, four months, attend a race for the first time in her life.
“I love racing at Laguna Seca, and we have always been quick there in the past,” says Felix Rosenqvist (who was a pole position contender last year before spinning out of qualifying). “This weekend will be emotional. I have enjoyed my time with MSR massively, and I have always said so. I really, really hope that we can end our tenure together with a fitting result. I will do all I can, as always, to make that happen.”
Rosenqvist is a previous pole-sitter at Laguna Seca – which features the iconic Corkscrew section which this weekend will be officially named after the late Alex Zanardi – having topped the qualifying times in 2023.
After a year of multiple music collaborations with team partner SiriusXM, the Grand Prix of Monterey will feature one final new look before the season ends. Rosenqvist’s No. 60 Honda is set to sport a special Nickelback livery for the event, with the famous band also attending in person to see the car in real life out on track.
The final INDYCAR weekend of the year gets underway with an opening practice session on Friday. Saturday takes in a crammed programme featuring two practice sessions and qualifying, with the 95-lap race then going green on Sunday.
Felix Rosenqvist enters the season-finale sitting ninth in the overall points standings.
