Felix Rosenqvist is gearing up for a sizzling run of six races over the next five weekends to conclude the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, with the Indy 500 winner contending for a top five finish in the final standings.
The blazing stretch of late-season action begins with the Grand Prix of Portland this weekend, as the field heads west for its annual Oregon visit. Already a two-time podium finisher at the venue from six previous starts, Rosenqvist is eyeing fresh success at the 12-turn, 1.9-mile Portland International Raceway.
“Portland marks the start of a very intense end to the season, but I’m feeling up for it and I think we have five weeks of opportunities ahead of us,” says Felix Rosenqvist. “Portland has been one of the best tracks on the calendar for me historically, and I’m obviously hoping to build on that this weekend.”
What follows next is a cross-country (and cross-nations) span of races that takes the paddock from Oregon in the west to Ontario, Canada, then on to Washington, D.C. for the once-in-a-lifetime Freedom 250 Grand Prix, onwards up to Wisconsin for a double-header at the Milwaukee Mile, and finally back west again for the season-finale at Laguna Seca.
It is a uniquely busy championship run-in that puts a premium on consistency, versatility and adaptability, featuring two road courses, two all-new street tracks, and one oval staging the season’s only double-header event.
“It’s a wild mix of races coming up, with two of my strongest road courses in Portland and Laguna Seca mixed with the Milwaukee Mile where we struggled last year and then two brand new street tracks that no one has ever driven before,” Felix Rosenqvist continues. “It probably couldn’t be more INDYCAR than that!”
The Swede currently is seventh in the standings but remains in contention for more, sitting just 40 points off the top five. He finished sixth in the championship last year.
“We’ll take it one race at a time, but momentum will be key in a stretch like this one,” Rosenqvist concludes. “Hopefully we can kick off strong in Portland.”
Following a hugely successful collaboration last year, Meyer Shank Racing and team sponsor SiriusXM will please hordes of fans this weekend by bringing back to life The Grateful Dead on Rosenqvist’s No. 60 MSR Honda. A different, darker livery will appear this time around.
The Grand Prix of Portland gets underway with opening practice on Friday. Qualifying takes place on Saturday, with the 110-lap race going green on Sunday afternoon local time.
